StoryTime Privacy Policy

Overview

StoryTime Bear is designed for families and bedtime routines, including use by children with parent supervision. We use the minimum information needed to create stories, save favorites, manage purchases, provide support, protect the service, and keep parent-linked accounts working across devices.

Information we use

We may process parent account identifiers, email address when provided by Apple or Google sign in, cookie balance, purchase records, story requests, generated story text, cover images, illustrations, narration files, saved library choices, support messages, practical app diagnostics, and optional notification tokens.

StoryTime does not request precise location, phone number, contacts, camera, microphone, or advertising tracking permission for the child story experience.

Children and family use

Parents or guardians are responsible for supervising children’s use of StoryTime. Please do not enter sensitive personal information in story prompts. Child-facing screens are designed to avoid ads, surprise purchases, social sharing, open chat, and unnecessary external links.

Story generation and storage

Story prompts are sent through the StoryTime backend to trusted service providers that help generate text, images, narration, and safety checks. Generated stories may be stored with your family account so they can be replayed, restored, and shown in the library.

Generated content can vary. We use child-safe prompts, automated safety checks, and family-support review tools to reduce unsuitable content, but parents should still review stories before bedtime use.

Purchases and cookies

Cookie purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play and synced through RevenueCat. We store purchase identifiers and cookie ledger history so credits can be granted, restored, refunded, or revoked correctly. We do not receive full payment card details.

Ads, tracking, and third parties

StoryTime is designed without third-party advertising in the child experience and does not sell personal data. We do not use interest-based advertising or remarketing for children. Service providers are used only for app functions such as account sign in, purchase syncing, story generation, notifications, hosting, and support.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, StoryTime may send practical updates such as story-ready or purchase-restored messages. Notifications are not used to pressure children to keep using the app. You can turn notifications off in your device settings at any time.

Retention and deletion

We keep account, story, purchase, and support records only as long as needed for the app features, family support, safety, legal compliance, fraud prevention, and store transaction requirements. StoryTime provides an in-app account deletion option for signed-in families. You may also contact support to request deletion of account data, saved stories, and purchase-linked records where deletion is permitted by store, tax, fraud-prevention, and legal requirements.
